My Story
Hi, I'm Hilary! I'm an Orton–Gillingham–certified dyslexia interventionist, a certified special education teacher, and a lifelong advocate for neurodivergent learners. My work is shaped by both my professional background and my personal experience—my son and I are both neurodivergent, and that perspective brings a lot of empathy, humor, and real-world understanding to the way I support kids and families.
I've spent many years working with students who learn differently, especially those with learning differences and executive functioning challenges. I also support families as a homeschooling consultant, helping them design meaningful, individualized learning experiences at home. I homeschooled my son for many years, so I know firsthand how rewarding (and sometimes overwhelming!) home learning can be—and I love helping families find a rhythm that truly works for them.
I graduated from the University of Vermont and am currently finishing my master's degree in Special Education. At the heart of my work is a belief that learning should feel encouraging, accessible, and tailored to each child. I blend compassion, evidence-based instruction, and lots of flexibility to help students grow into confident, capable learners who feel understood and supported every step of the way.
In my free time, you can usually find me outside with my family and our dogs, exploring the beautiful Seacoast of New Hampshire.
